KIRA Winners Rock New Brunswick Innovation

Fredericton, N.B. - – As a part of Innovation Week, New Brunswick innovators were out in full force in Fredericton last night to celebrate New Brunswick’s vibrant innovative spirit and business successes at the 18th Annual KIRA Awards.

“If there is one thing for certain in New Brunswick, it’s that innovation in New Brunswick is thriving,” stated Lori MacMullen KIRA Awards Co-Chair. “Not only do we continue to see truly amazing and talented companies emerge through our Most Promising Start-up Award, but the talent and accomplishments across the board is exciting! And of course this night would not be possible without the support of our sponsors!”

The Government of Canada recognizes the importance of innovation in helping to build a stronger economy in this region and across the country,” said Matt DeCourcey, Member of Parliament for Fredericton, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. “We are proud to celebrate New Brunswick’s finest in innovation, and we congratulate the KIRA award winners whose outstanding achievements are inspiring our youth, attracting new talent and developing jobs, all of which are creating the right kind of environment for more companies to call New Brunswick home.”
